UT Southwestern is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our Facilities Management team. This position works under minimal supervision to perform skilled carpentry work in a healthcare environment. A Journeyman Carpenter License and experience in a hospital or healthcare setting are highly preferred. Required: Education:
High School Diploma or vocational school equivalent
Experience: 3 years of skilled or journeyman-level carpentry experience in a commercial, institutional, or healthcare setting Proficiency in door hardware and large power tools (e.g., table saw, circular saw, router, miter saw)
Preferred: Licensure:
Journeyman Carpenter License
Key Responsibilities
Perform general carpentry work including construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of building components such as floors, walls, stairways, doors, windows, and partitions Remove and replace hardware; install or replace linoleum, floor tile, ceiling tile, and window glass Clean, sharpen, and maintain hand and power tools; perform preventive maintenance Assist in tracking time and materials for each job May supervise trade trainees or maintenance workers Perform other related duties as assigned Security and EEO Statement
