JOB SUMMARY

UT Southwestern is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Worker for our Plumbing Shop team. This position works under immediate supervision to assist journeymen in performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in one or more trades, such as apprentice-level plumbing, rough painting, concrete repair, and minor electrical or mechanical repair. Work Location:

Dallas Campus (with support to other UTSW campus locations as needed) Shift Requirement:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (some overtime may be required) EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Minimum 8th-grade graduation Licenses and Certifications:

Must have and maintain a valid State of Texas driver's license Preferred: Experience:

2 years of experience performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work Include your updated resume with the application submission JOB DUTIES

Install and/or repair locks, door closures, and window shades Perform rough painting, concrete laying, and patch plastering Assist plumbers by unclogging sinks, commodes, hand basins, and sewer lines Perform semi-skilled tasks in the construction, repair, and maintenance of wooden structures Make minor repairs and adjustments to electrical equipment and appliances Assist with replacing belts, filters, couplings, gaskets, pulleys, bearings, and motors Support repairs and/or replacement of valves, fittings, pipes, controls, heat exchangers, and related systems Make minor equipment adjustments (e.g., belt and pulley alignments) and maintain clean mechanical areas Monitor and maintain equipment daily, including corrosion control and painting Assist other shops with clean-up and general support as needed Perform other duties as assigned SECURITY AND EEO STATEMENT
