UT Southwestern is seeking an experienced Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join the Electrical Systems Operations team. This role works under moderate supervision to provide professional engineering expertise in planning, design, construction, remodeling, and major repair of UT Southwestern Medical Center buildings, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Experience and Education

Required: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience: 5 years of related engineering experience Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

preferably in Texas Must recertify PE license in Texas at time of renewal Key Responsibilities

Provide professional engineering consultation services for user needs, including programming, research, planning, and design Advise administrators and department chairs during project development, including schematics, preliminary designs, construction drawings, and specifications Prepare plans and specifications for remodeling and adapting existing campus buildings, including MEP modifications Conduct site inspections to ensure construction progress, quality, and compliance with contract documents Maintain effective working relationships with contractors and internal staff; serve as UTSW representative on assigned projects Ensure design execution and internal controls are effective, efficient, and compliant with applicable laws and policies May provide supervision, training, and guidance to other employees Perform other duties as assigned Security and EEO Statement
