As a Shahbaz, you are responsible for assisting our residents with a wide range of their daily needs and undertakings. In addition to direct patient care, they are responsible for meal preparation, house cleaning and various recreational activities. Responsibilities: Patient Care: Provide and assist with all aspects of daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing and comfort care; maintain a safe and attractive environment at all times. Meal Preparation: Prepare meals based on Food Production Sheet and create alternative choices to meet patients' preference and nutritional needs; ensure all kitchen logs are in compliance with NYS Department of Health regulations; maintain a safe and sanitary environment. Housekeeping: Monitor housekeeping and laundry logs daily; coordinate cleaning schedules. Activity Management: Follow Recreation Community Calendar for daily plan, and check with patients for any activity preference; coordinate with the team and implement morning and afternoon activities daily; facilitate community outings; document all activities in Caretracker. Required Qualifications: Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required Preferred Qualifications: Compassionate, warm and patient focused Ability to assess needs and make decisive judgments Highly professional behavior Ability to work in a team oriented work group Proficient in various computer programs, email and Medical Records Documentation system Education: CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED), NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV) Physical Requirements: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
