Job Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide support to healthcare professionals and ensure optimal patient care. Primary responsibilities include conducting tests and procedures, assisting with treatments and examinations, transcribing doctor's orders, and maintaining efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and specialists to ensure optimal patient care. Conduct tests and procedures as directed, including EKGs, non-stress tests, spirometer, venipunctures, skin punctures, strep screen, glucometer, blood, and urine tests. Communicate abnormal lab results to physician. Assist with treatments and examinations such as injections, wound care, pelvic exams, minor surgery, and IUD insertions; identify psychosocial needs and consult with the health service provider. Transcribe doctors' orders, prepare requisitions, forms, and calls to pharmacy. Follow up on pharmacy messages daily. Ensure assigned provider(s) signs charts, labs, prescriptions, and diagnostics daily. Clean and sterilize equipment, restock patient rooms and labs. Maintain medical supply inventory. Answer incoming/outgoing phone calls, review pharmacy voicemails, and other calls daily. Participate in training and ongoing education to enhance skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and collaboration among staff members to ensure efficient clinic operations. Comply with office policy and procedure, OSHA Standards, and HIPAA Privacy Regulations. Welcome patients, assist with medical records, and maintain patient flow after check-in. Perform vital sign and vision tests and record them within the eHR system, identify chief complaints, and record observations. Provide telephonic care support and document all phone calls with patients. Follow-up with patients post-appointment, especially walk-ins, urgent care, and TCM patients. Skills
