MBA Marketing Student Assistant Position

The Red McCombs School of Business is looking to add a student worker to our team. The MBA Marketing Student Assistant internship will work with the MBA Marketing & Admissions team to brainstorm, produce, and edit content for social media, email, and event marketing deliverables. The team covers all MBA graduate programs, including Full-Time, Evening, and Executive MBA in Austin and Weekend MBA programs in Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston. Learning Outcomes

Marketing Strategy Email Communications and Funnel Messaging Content Management Responsibilities

Produce engaging written and visual content for various marketing mediums such as video, social media, website, email, or blog Be able to edit video content such as webinars, student spotlights, and reels Create graphics for LinkedIn to promote events and news Assist in weekly clean-up of new lead data in Excel to import into marketing database management Prepare weekly Pitch Assignments to present new content ideas and experiment with new marketing trends and make recommendations to the team based on findings Understand and monitor graduate management education trends, new marketing tactics, and target audience preferences Collaborate with team members to align content with brand voice and messaging Track and evaluate competitor marketing efforts Attend and assist the Marketing and Admissions team with MBA events on campus Other duties as assigned that support the efforts of the Texas McCombs MBA marketing strategy Career Competencies

Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 6 credit hours Experience creating or editing photography, graphic design, or video content Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint Experience with Canva and Video Editing Software Experience or coursework in advertising, business, communications, marketing, or RTF Knowledge of content marketing principles and social media platforms and trends Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail Embraces feedback in the iterative process of publishing Highly collaborative, attends regularly scheduled team meetings and training sessions Excellent time management and organizational skills Must be punctual and responsive to email and Teams messages Must be able to work at least 10 hours per week in person Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, with a max of 15 hours per week Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Hourly Rate

$12 per hour Working Conditions

Work performed in standard office conditions in Robert B. Rowling Hall program office Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation. Schedule Work Shift
