Job Details:
GENERAL STATEMENT: Only students currently enrolled in the Moody College of Communication are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to juniors and seniors.
Purpose:
The Student Multimedia Associate student is a photography/video position offering a dynamic opportunity for a student interested in multimedia production to build real-world experience creating videos and photography that tell the University's and University Housing and Dining's (UHD) story. This position will support the production team throughout all stages of the content creation process-from concept development to final delivery-while learning how to produce compelling content for digital and social media platforms in alignment with brand standards (UHD and University).
Responsibilities: Assist in Full-Cycle Video Production:
Learn and participate in all phases of video production, including brainstorming concepts, preparing shot lists and storyboards, setting up equipment, filming and editing. Collaborate with team members to ensure content meets project objectives and quality standards.
Photography Support:
Help coordinate and assist on photo shoots, including lighting setup, photographing events or campus life and organizing photo assets. Assist with editing photo sets and optimizing images for use across web, print and social platforms.
Social Media Content Creation:
Work closely with the social media team to develop engaging short-form video and photo content tailored for platforms like Instagram and YouTube. Learn about digital storytelling strategies and how to create content that resonates with specific audiences.
Brand Alignment:
Understand and follow University and UHD branding and style guidelines to ensure all content reflects the UT identity professionally and consistently.
Required Qualifications :
Enrolled in courses at the Moody College of Communication
Preferred Qualifications:
Junior or senior status
Working knowledge of photography and videography equipment and lighting packages
Working knowledge of editing software
Previous experience in advertising, marketing or another related field preferred

This position is based in Austin, TX and is expected to work on campus
May work outside in all weather conditions
May work nights and weekends
