Job Description:
Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: $57,151 - $67,000
Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences Division of Speech and Language Pathology, located at the health sciences campus in Johnson City, New York, is hiring for a Senior Staff Assistant.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Staff Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Director of the Division of Speech and Language Pathology, especially related to clinical internships, operation of the Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic, and support of the faculty.
This position requires coordinating multiple, complex priorities in a demanding, fast-paced, high-profile environment. The successful candidate is expected to possess effective organizational skills and function with a high level of independence.

Responsibilities include: Work collaboratively in a team environment with school, college, and university colleagues, especially the Founding Director of Speech and Language Pathology, the Internship Coordinators, Administrative Staff, and all clinical faculty Manage systems for organizing clinical materials, faculty curriculum vitae, professional licenses, certifications, meeting minutes, clinical training documents, and undergraduate assistants Provide administrative support for operations of the Binghamton University Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic Provide support for faculty related to travel and professional development Complete all purchases of clinical materials and manage clinic inventory Work in a professional and focused manner to assist in clinic scheduling, manage the materials room, and assist in internship management Plan and implement special event programming as required, with attention to detail and problem resolution as required Perform routine administrative support functions for the Division of Speech and Language Pathology's faculty, staff, and students Maintain an up-to-date database of all clinical placements Requirements:
Bachelor's degree Experience managing multiple projects at one time Demonstrated technical expertise using business management tools including spreadsheets, word processing, calendar tools, and presentation software Supervisory experience Able to communicate complex material effectively with a diverse group of individuals including faculty, staff, senior administrators, community partners, students, and visitors Ability to organize information, analyze issues, solve problems, and prioritize needs Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Effective professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with tact and discretion Ability to train and supervise graduate and/or undergraduate student assistants Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of work experience in higher education
