Business Development Director

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Director to join our growing team. Based in Boston, this high-impact role will focus on expanding our market presence across the biotech, pharma, and contract research organization (CRO) sectors. As a proven sales professional, you will develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth, build long-lasting relationships, and champion Perceptive Discovery's solutions in a highly competitive landscape. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to drive revenue in the biotech, pharma, and CRO segments Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across target accounts Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their discovery and development needs and positioning Perceptive Discovery's solutions Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure client success Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue pipelines, reporting regularly to senior leadership Key Requirements: Proven track record in business development or sales within life sciences, with direct experience selling to CROs, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies Strong network across the Boston biopharma ecosystem and beyond Deep understanding of the drug discovery and development process Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for delivering value to clients Ability to travel as required within the territory Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and proficient sales experience in a relevant field Significant B2B sales experience, preferably in clinical research services market. English: Fluent Location: This is a Boston-focused position preference for individuals to be within a commutable distance of Boston.
