A Licensed Practical Nurse (10 Months) provides practical nursing care to patients and clients under the direction of a physician or a registered nurse. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class may work rotating shifts including evenings and weekends. Work is performed in a clinic, an office or the client's home where they may be exposed to illness, disease and stressful conditions. Work requires minimal physical exertion. Minimum Qualifications Experience:

Have two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. And License, Registrations, and Certifications:

Current licensure as a practical nurse in the State of Maryland or practical nurse licensure from a Multi-State Licensure Compact participant state is required. Application Deadline:

Probation All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation. Eligibility Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. Education Accreditation Applicants' education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education credentials obtained out of the US must be evaluated for US equivalency.
