Child Life Specialist
The Child Life Specialist will support our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and will be responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. The Child Life Specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience. Hours: 20 hours per week, first shift, Friday - Sunday Required Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field. Completion of a child life internship. Previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist within Emergency Dept. preferred. Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire. American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire. $2500 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.
