nPlastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.

Role Description:
nThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the technical development and implementation of manufacturing processes, bills of material (BOM), and manufacturing development including scalable additive manufacturing capabilities in all areas of the operation.
nWhat you’ll do:
n- n
- Develop clear and concise process control documentation and procedures; ensuring processes are controlled and repeatable n
- Implement new operational solutions, including preparing visual work instructions, executing engineering change requests and notices to update internal procedures and instructions n
- Assist in the training of internal personnel as necessary n
- Prepare and communicate final technical reports to both internal and external customers to gain the required approvals n
- Support the production floor by using technical problem-solving skills to resolve both urgent and systemic issues n
- Create/maintain manufacturing process plans and work instructions (PFMEA, Control Plan) n
- Develop and execute roadmaps to streamline process by leveraging new tooling, equipment and/or technologies n
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) within ERP environment and coordinate changes/improvements with the operations, engineering, and quality teams n
- Coordinate across functional disciplines to solve technical and production problems to minimize impacts to production workflow n
- Perform other duties as assigned n
What we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, entry level position, 0-2 years of experience n
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes involving injection molding and value-added operations n
- Demonstrated professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and clearly documenting manufacturing processes and test results n
- Experience with CNC machining a plus n
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and propose solutions to problems n
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills n
- Experience working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD n
- Highly efficient, well-organized and self-motivated / self-directed n
