About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and manage its manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple value streams across two facilities, with a focus on high-mix, low-volume production. This role requires a leader with a strong background in defense-related product and production requirements, including assembly, test, compliance, quality, traceability, and Mil-Stds. The COO will be a key player in the company's growth, managing day-to-day production, planning, quality, and manufacturing engineering, and will be expected to be a change agent, driving the implementation of continuous improvement strategies, LEAN, and SIX-SIGMA.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of implementing change and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands a strategic and tactical leader with a vision for the future, capable of improving manufacturing processes, increasing capacity planning, and anticipating production requirements. Experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical product manufacturing is preferred. The COO will also be responsible for budgetary matters, including capital expenditure recommendations, and must be a US citizen.
