Employee Type: Part Time (7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm) Shift - 3 day a week
Position Summary:
Vinson Hall (VH), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in beautiful McLean, VA, is currently seeking an energetic and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Memory Care Department . Requirements
  • Maintains a valid license certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with federal, state and local regulations
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Minimum of one year of geriatrics experience is preferred, especially within a Memory Care or Dementia care setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in bedside nursing are preferred.
  • Compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate care to residents in our Memory Care unit, promoting dignity and comfort.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Document patient care and observations according to VHRC standards and regulations.
  • Provide support and companionship to residents, promoting social interaction and mental engagement.
  • Assist with recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents' well-being and cognitive health.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to safety protocols and infection control practices.
  • Respond promptly to residents' needs and provide support in emergency situations when necessary.
