Requirements
- Maintains a valid license certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with federal, state and local regulations
- CPR certification preferred
- 1-2 years of CNA experience preferred, particularly in a geriatric or long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge ofbedside nursing care and protocols
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Aid with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.
- Monitor vital signs (e.g., temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and changes in residents' health.
- Assist with restorative and rehabilitative activities as directed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in resident rooms and common areas.
- Uphold residents' privacy, dignity, and rights according to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
