Job Description The Software Engineer Manager designs and architects digital vended products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems to provide reliable, compliant, and efficient messaging solutions for Allstate's workforce. They apply scientific and technological knowledge to the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software. They own and manage production applications and are accountable for their success through KPIs. They plan, direct, and execute complex IT activities, lead medium to large teams, and advise on policies, risks, issues, sourcing, budgets, and priorities. Key Responsibilities Lead knowledge sharing and contribute to the growth of the End User Collaboration community. Participate in product scoping, discovery, framing, and inceptions, providing technical input and translating user features into system design. Assist Digital Product Managers and participate in retrospectives, fostering feedback with empathy. Shape the architecture and design of the End User Messaging digital product. Lead inceptions and planning meetings, infusing backlogs with technical input in partnership with the Digital Product Manager. Lead daily standups and cross-site meetings. Serve as a technical leader, guiding technology choices, solving problems, and resolving conflicts within the team. Establish CI/CD pipelines and practices. Coordinate strategy across product portfolios with stakeholders. Share knowledge on multiple business domains and technology stacks across organizations. Education 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) Experience 7+ years of experience (Preferred) Experience with enterprise messaging and cloud/SaaS solutions like Microsoft Exchange, M365 Exchange Online, Defender for Office, Proofpoint, Valimail, RightFax, Quest on Demand. Experience with enterprise archiving and compliance software such as ZL Unified Archive, 17A-4, Microsoft Purview eDiscovery. Designing large enterprise solutions based on technical, application, and business requirements. Developing and executing complex deployment scenarios. Supporting hybrid messaging platforms and platform rationalization. Extensive PowerShell scripting experience. Knowledge of MS security (Patch Management). Technical & Support Documentation writing. Supervisory Responsibilities This role has supervisory duties. In Lieu of Education & Experience An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Skills Active Directory (AD), AD FS, Amazon SES, Azure AD, Business Processes, DNS, Firewalls, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Graph, Outlook, Troubleshooting, VPNs Compensation Annual salary ranges from $112,000 to $196,750, based on experience and qualifications.
