Position Summary:
EES is seeking a Data Scientist at the SME level to support FAA modernization efforts. This role uses advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical methods to extract insights from large datasets. The Data Scientist will develop predictive models and support data-driven decision-making across FAA systems.
Qualifications:
SME: Education: BS/BA
Experience: 12+ years
Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools
Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
Familiarity with FAA operational data and analytics requirements
Ability to develop predictive models and performance metrics
Strong communication and documentation skills
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
Roles and Responsibilities:
Analyze FAA datasets to identify trends and actionable insights
Develop predictive models to support operational decision-making
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and objectives
Visualize data using dashboards and reporting tools
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with FAA standards
Document methodologies and support knowledge transfer
