Position Summary:
EES is seeking Software Engineers at the Journeyman, Senior, and SME levels to support FAA modernization efforts. These roles are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems and applications that meet FAA operational and strategic goals.
Qualifications:
Journeyman: Education: BS/BA
Experience: 5–7 years
Senior: Education: BS/BA
Experience: 8–11 years
SME: Education: BS/BA
Experience: 12+ years
Experience in full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks
Familiarity with FAA systems and software integration standards
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control
Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software applications for FAA systems
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to technical standards
Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Document software designs, interfaces, and processes
Support troubleshooting and performance optimization
