Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer

to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of various platforms supporting multiple applications. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality technical architecture and deliver scalable, reliable solutions. Key Details:

This position requires an on-site commitment five days a week and the candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret security clearance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and enhance system performance, implementing corrective actions for current platforms. Manage and maintain application integration using core networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls). Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures. Create and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline platform deployments and management tasks. Deploy and manage virtual machines using VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Configure and manage host-based security systems. Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers. Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds. Patch and manage systems through Red Hat Satellite Server. Provide hardware support for servers and workstations. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be eligible for a Secret security clearance and may need to provide personally identifiable information (PII) for this purpose. Due to contract stipulations, only U.S. Citizens can be considered for this position. Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is a plus. A proactive team player who can work independently to support critical operations across diverse locations. Candidates should live within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call duties. This contract requires 24/7/365 uptime; candidates must be willing to participate in a rotational on-call schedule. Preferred Qualifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
