POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Control Inspector I ensures that all machined and fabricated components from internal and external sources comply with specified quality standards. This role involves conducting inspections, identifying discrepancies in engineering drawings, generating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), maintaining inspection equipment, and demonstrating proficiency with essential inspection tools.
TOP 5 RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct quality inspections of machined and fabricated components from internal and external sources to ensure compliance with specifications
Identify and report discrepancies in engineering drawings to the relevant teams for resolution
Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for both internal and external sources, detailing any deviations from quality standards
Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and keeping the workspace organized
Demonstrate expertise in using essential inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and others
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspection results, NCRs, and other quality-related documentation
Assist in training new team members on quality control procedures and the proper use of inspection tools and equipment
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and improve overall product quality
Ensure all quality control activities adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
Stay updated on the latest quality control techniques, tools, and industry best practices to enhance job performance
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications ()
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Basic understanding of quality control principles and practices
Proficiency in using basic inspection tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting components
Excellent communication skills for reporting discrepancies and generating NCRs
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
