Network Security Engineer Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint Firewalls and IPSCE VPN. Consolidation, Access requests, upgrades, and cleanup tasks. Specialized security hardware and software administration and maintenance. Project, design, development, and operational configuration and implementation. Troubleshooting and security event response. Implementation to support compliance, best practice, and policy. Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN). Wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Monitor and website performance to ensure websites operate correctly and without interruption. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. Administer network security measures. Work on tickets in ticketing system and update Visio diagrams to keep network diagrams up to date. Code upgrades on LAN and security devices. Co-ordinate with other teams while implementing network changes. Position requires travel to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S., with expenses paid by the employer.
