Job Summary: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a frontline healthcare professional responsible for delivering high-quality phlebotomy services to patients. This role ensures safe and accurate specimen collection and lab preparation in a high-volume setting. The PSR II promotes a compassionate environment, builds patient trust, and ensures procedural excellence and confidentiality. Assignments may vary across patient service centers, in-office phlebotomy locations, or physician offices, depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and process blood specimens with precision for clinical and forensic testing Verify patient identification and label specimens in their presence Maintain all records, logs, and patient documentation in accordance with policies Demonstrate process excellence and patient care during all patient interactions Adapt to flexible assignments, including covering other locations with minimal notice Perform duties independently while upholding safety and quality standards Support training and onboarding activities as needed Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and organizational protocols Required Experience:
3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections 2 years in a Patient Service Center or similar outpatient care setting preferred Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or the service industry preferred Prior data entry and computer system proficiency Nice-to-Have Experience:
Medical assistant or paramedic background Previous experience covering multiple clinic sites Familiarity with in-office phlebotomy workflows Required Skills:
Strong phlebotomy techniques across all age groups Ability to operate independently and handle high-volume workloads Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members Preferred Skills:
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA) Time management and multitasking in a clinical setting Familiarity with HIP nd data privacy requirements Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean driving record Additional Skills from Original Description:
