JFCS seeks a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to support our growing agency. The HR Generalist will lead key HR functions, focusing on benefits administration, including ACA look-back tracking, SFHCSO compliance, leave of absence coordination through AbsencePro, and supporting the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner across the organization, ensuring compliance, providing support, fostering engagement, and advancing our people-centered initiatives. Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 (depending on experience) Full-time, exempt position with benefits Employer 403(b) retirement match plus additional employer contribution (eligibility required) Cafeteria benefits plan with options like health insurance, FSAs, retirement plans, and wellness programs 16 holidays annually (including federal and Jewish holidays) 3 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of sick leave annually Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and relations support Lead benefits administration, including eligibility, enrollment, and communication Maintain compliance with ACA regulations using look-back measurement Ensure SFHCSO compliance, including reporting and tracking hours Lead new hire onboarding and benefits orientation Administer leaves of absence and manage AbsencePro system Maintain HRIS data and support payroll and benefits accuracy Partner on compliance tracking, reporting, and process improvements Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; PHR or SHRM-CP preferred 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, including benefits administration for 200+ employees Strong knowledge of ACA, SF labor laws, and employment law High reliability, professionalism, and discretion Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Commitment to service, equity, and excellence aligned with JFCS’s mission All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, including minorities, women, veterans, and disabled individuals.
