Are you a multi-faceted HR professional who likes a little variety in their work day? LHH is looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to lead HR functions within our client's fast-paced production environment here in Columbus, OH. This role is central to supporting the employee lifecycle-from onboarding to payroll coordination-while also contributing to general office operations. The ideal candidate will be a reliable point of contact for staff and leadership, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and compliantly.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources Focus:
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all documentation and procedures are completed accurately and efficiently.
Maintain employee records, including timekeeping, attendance, and personnel files, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Support payroll preparation by collecting and verifying time data and coordinating with payroll providers.
Serve as a liaison for employee inquiries related to benefits, policies, and HR procedures.
Assist in implementing and maintaining compliance with workplace safety, labor laws, and environmental regulations in collaboration with safety teams.
Facilitate internal communication between HR and other departments to support workforce planning and employee engagement.
Administrative Support:
Oversee office supply inventory, vendor relationships, and general administrative logistics.
Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes when needed.
Maintain records related to purchasing, inventory, and shipping/receiving as needed to support production and logistics teams.
Monitor office equipment and coordinate with IT or maintenance teams for repairs or upgrades.
Assist with customer service tasks such as order entry and resolving basic inquiries.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in human resources administration, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and payroll systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.
Pay Details:
$52,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
