The Maintenance Planner performs asset maintenance planning for WMATA maintenance departments. Responsibilities include developing and modifying maintenance job plans, working with engineering, and supporting reliability programs and CMMS administration. Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field, or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant experience. Certification/Licensure
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Experience
Five years in electrical or mechanical maintenance, including management or planning experience. Preferred
Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP). Summary
The Maintenance Planner develops maintenance plans, manages work order backlogs, and supports maintenance processes and systems to ensure efficient and safe operations. Essential Functions
Develops work scopes, resource, and parts requirements. Ensures proper work order management in Maximo. Coordinates with managers on job plans and resources. Performs planning activities and backlog analysis. Supports system and procedural guidance for CMMS. Other Functions
Creates and updates maintenance job plans. Manages work order backlog and updates procedures. Assists with asset history and compliance inquiries. Visits field sites for compliance checks. Prepares budget projections and collaborates on scheduling. Supports other planners and trains staff. Evaluation Criteria
