Provides oversight for the design, delivery, and evaluation of the Children's Simulation Center for effectiveness and impact. Leads a team and collaborates with simulation educators, quality and patient safety, and other system leaders to assess needs and support and deliver simulation education. Drive and support simulation activity that supports and enhances clinical competency and professional development, and results in measurable improvement in patient outcomes. Experience
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact Professional Nursing Certification required upon hire or must acquire within one year (Ex. Nursing Professional Development, Pediatric Nurse Certification, Nurse Executive, or Certified Nurse Manager and Leader) Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or other healthcare related field. Proficient knowledge of The Joint Commission regulatory requirements Education
Bachelor of Science in nursing Certification Summary

Works collaboratively with Director, Clinical Learning and Simulation and Simulation Medical Director to develop and implement Simulation Center strategy and goals. Manages ongoing development and growth of Children's Simulation Center, including operations, budgeting, managing donor funds and capital requests. Provide leadership and oversight for the design, programming, coordination, and facilitation of simulation for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Systematically evaluate and report results of all simulation activities and programs; produce regular reporting, especially metrics/outcomes, to share with key stakeholders. Leads and participates in the continuous assessment, evaluation, and improvement of the quality of simulation provided; integrates simulation into existing and future programs. Facilitates testing of new processes through simulation, especially in support of the North Druid Hills / Arthur M. Blank hospital development. Provides support to clinical areas in developing a simulation program. Drive mentoring and support of simulation educations via Children's Simulation Center team, ensuring knowledge, skills, and competence as well as strong education planning. Ensures the Simulation Center remains abreast of current advancements in simulator capabilities, emerging technologies, and developments in Human Factors and Simulation. Monitors simulation program operations and maintenance, ensuring efficiency and effective utilization of resources. Oversees simulation budgets including capital equipment, donor funding and annual budget tracking in collaboration with Director. Provides leadership and promotes a collaborative, team-based and excellence approach to simulation education, research, and practice. Drives development of simulation program by partnering with unit leadership, assisting in the establishment of new unit-based simulation resources, and driving successful goal setting and attainment.
