Job Overview: The Front Office Receptionist plays a pivotal role in creating a positive first impression for our patients and ensuring smooth operations at our facility. Your responsibilities will include managing patient registrations, scheduling appointments, and delivering excellent customer service to all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Greet and welcome patients and visitors in person and over the phone, addressing inquiries effectively. Record patient arrivals accurately in the Practice Management System (EMR). Identify patients through dates of birth and names, creating new accounts when necessary. Prepare required patient paperwork prior to their appointments. Reschedule appointments for "No Show" patients and maintain proper records. Enhance patient satisfaction by scheduling appointments and addressing patient concerns. Respond promptly to emergency situations, using sound judgment. Update and verify patient information in the EMR regularly. Verify insurance eligibility and inform the Billing Department when prior authorizations are needed. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Collect patient copays and update financial records at check-in/out. Safeguard patient confidentiality of personal and financial data. Follow established policies and procedures for operational efficiency. Demonstrate superior customer service and communication skills. Complete other tasks as assigned by the Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager.
