Litigation Secretary
to join a
hybrid role
that offers both remote flexibility and in-office collaboration. Position Overview: The Litigation Secretary will provide high-level administrative support to attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism. This is a hybrid position requiring regular on-site presence in our San Jose office. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents (including pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence) File documents electronically with federal and state courts (including ECF and state-specific e-filing systems) Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and third-party vendors Manage case files and ensure timely docketing of all deadlines Process time entries, expenses, and billing as needed Handle confidential information with discretion Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, mail handling, and document organization Qualifications: 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting (California state and federal court experience preferred) Strong understanding of court rules and filing procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Experience with legal document management and billing software (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments, or similar) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment High level of professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail Competitive salary up to $110,000 annually, depending on experience Hybrid work schedule (in-office presence required several days per week) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more Supportive and team-oriented firm culture How to Apply: apply and email michelle.wirtz@lhh.com with resume Seniority level
