A leading real estate investment firm with over $30 billion in assets under management is seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to join their Investor Accounting team in Boston, MA. The role involves assisting in the financial close process and collaborating across multiple functions within the firm. Company Overview:
A leading real estate investment firm with over $30 billion in assets under management is seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to join their Investor Accounting team in Boston, MA. The role involves assisting in the financial close process and collaborating across multiple functions within the firm.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and review monthly financial reports prepared by third-party property managers Oversee third-party property managers and ensure compliance with accounting practices Lead quarterly performance reviews with Asset Managers Conduct periodic desk top audits and communicate results to Asset Managers Lead the quarterly and annual financial close, including preparation of financial statements Prepare quarterly debt covenants and consultant/investor reports Coordinate with external audit and tax teams on deliverables Prepare property and fund returns for accuracy Oversee and mentor junior staff Calculate monthly management fees and prepare cash flow forecasts Prepare portfolio management packages and fund level wire requests
Qualifications:
BS in accounting required, advanced degree preferred Minimum 4 years accounting experience, with public and real estate accounting essential Experience managing and mentoring staff preferred Strong Excel skills required; familiarity with Yardi a plus
Compensation:
Salary:
$100,000 – $120,000, Plus Bonus
