Ultimate Solutions USA is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) to lead the execution of the warehouse scope for a highly automated packaging and distribution facility in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on delivering ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), racking, WMS/WCS integration, and warehouse infrastructure. The individual will manage the full lifecycle of the warehouse project from design through commissioning, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the warehouse project scope, including automation systems, material flow, and facility integration.
· Manage project schedule, risk, vendor coordination, and issue resolution while reporting to the Associate Director.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all warehouse-related workstreams, ensuring alignment with overall capital project goals.
· Coordinate closely with the following key partners:
Swisslog (ASRS supplier)
Max AGV (AGV supplier)
Engineering, Technology & Automation (ETA) team
Design firm (EPCM or engineering consultant)
Turner Construction (Construction Manager responsible for overall buildout and infrastructure readiness)
· Align warehouse infrastructure, installation readiness, and phasing with the construction team to ensure proper sequencing and site readiness for equipment installation.
· Oversee warehouse layout development, equipment interface design, and installation planning.
· Ensure successful integration between WMS/WCS software logic and physical automation systems.
· Collaborate with automation, IT/OT, and commissioning teams to align controls, handshaking, and system validation.
· Support FAT/SAT activities, system startup, commissioning protocols, and operational handover.
· Partner with CQV and Quality to confirm warehouse systems meet user and regulatory requirements.
· Drive operational readiness through SOP support, training coordination, and warehouse go-live planning.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Systems), Supply Chain, or related technical field.
· 6+ years in warehouse operations or project management with at least 2 years focused on ASRS/AGV or automated systems.
· Proven experience managing vendors, software/hardware integration, and facility coordination.
· Prior experience working with construction managers or general contractors is strongly preferred.
· Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceuticals, biotech, or logistics) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
· Strong knowledge of warehouse automation systems (ASRS, AGVs, conveyors), WMS/WCS logic, and material handling flow.
· Effective leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
· Proficiency with project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet), layout software (AutoCAD, Visio), and the MS Office Suite.
· Ability to identify risks, troubleshooting integration issues, and manage technical deliverables with vendors.
