As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a crucial role in empowering data-driven decision-making within the Amazon Web Services Data Center Infrastructure Operations organization. This team is at the forefront of planning, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving our global Amazon Data Center infrastructure. We support critical aspects including Safety, Security, maintenance, operations, logistics, and equipment management. Your responsibilities will include: Developing, implementing, and maintaining an information data warehouse. Utilizing insight platforms to create effective decision support systems. Collaborating with business owners to understand their data and reporting needs. Building ETLs to ingest data into the data warehouse and data lake, alongside end-user facing reporting applications. Working with AWS community teams to define analytics requirements and deliver scalable, end-to-end solutions. Engaging with large datasets to answer business questions and drive growth. We are looking for someone who: Has a passion for storytelling through data visualization and user experience. Has experience with tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar platforms. Holds moderate to advanced SQL skills, with experience in building presentation layers for reporting dashboards. Is knowledgeable in data modeling, including fact and dimension tables. Has experience with building automation for data extraction into visualizations. Your communication skills should be excellent, both verbal and written, as you will be leading projects and interacting with stakeholders to deliver impactful dashboard products. Basic Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data with databases like Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL. Expertise in SQL and data warehousing concepts. Experience in developing and presenting new metrics for better business performance understanding. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or QuickSight. Experience with Airflow DAGs for ETL processes. Preferred Qualifications: Background in data mining, ETL processes, and experience with large-scale datasets. Experience using SQL for data extraction and scripting (Python) for data processing. Knowledge of forecasting and statistical analysis methods.
