We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to enhance our understanding and influence over pricing strategies. This role is vital in maintaining customer trust in pricing and driving insights across all business segments. In this position, you will: Identify and lead projects that improve our pricing mechanisms. Develop regular business reporting to establish baseline performance metrics. Analyze customer segments and product types to generate deeper insights. Help design measurements for experiments analyzing price perception impacts. Collaborate with various teams to produce capacity reporting for project workflows. Define data pipelines and implement self-service tools for monitoring price errors across the platform. Price errors can significantly impact customer perception and seller profitability, and your role will be instrumental in mitigating these risks. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and can work independently. You should be adept at analytical thinking and have a knack for driving issues to resolution. Key qualifications include: 10+ years of professional or military experience. 5+ years of SQL experience and advanced skills in data handling and transformation. Expertise in experimental design and statistical analysis. Experience with AWS technologies and scripting for automation (e.g., Python). A strong background in data science, machine learning, and data mining. Preferred qualifications: Experience working directly with business stakeholders. Proficient in crafting and communicating insights to senior leadership. This role is based in Seattle, WA. Our compensation reflects labor costs across various US markets, with base pay ranging from $117,300/year to $202,800/year, depending on experience and location.
