Join the AWS Center for Quantum Computing as a Front End Developer, where you will play a crucial role in designing and developing user-friendly web applications that aid our scientists in data management and visualization of complex workflows. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Software Development Engineers, Research Scientists, and Technical Program Managers to create frontend solutions tailored to the unique demands of quantum computing research and innovation.
Your contributions will significantly enhance the efficiency and productivity of our quantum device design, fabrication, and testing workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage directly with scientists and engineers to understand challenges and propose effective solutions.
Gather user stories and convert them into UX and software design documents, balancing complexity and timely delivery.
Implement design proposals in a logical, maintainable manner.
Take ownership of maintaining the stability and quality of the software stack by identifying and suggesting vital features to expedite the advancement of quantum computing technologies.

You will be part of the Device Lifecycle software development team within the AWS Center for Quantum Computing, comprising software engineers dedicated to scaling quantum computing technologies.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or eligible under asylum/refugee status to qualify.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of professional front end development experience.
2+ years of professional experience in front end web development using React and TypeScript.
2+ years of experience in system design, including design patterns and scalability.
Familiarity with backend software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing.
Experience collaborating with scientists in a research environment.
Experience with AWS services.
Compensation:
