Business Intelligence Engineer - Security Operations Excellence

We are on the hunt for a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our AWS Data Center Security Operational Excellence team. In this pivotal role, you will shape and enhance our security programs through advanced data analytics solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include: Gathering data requirements from stakeholders to understand their reporting and metrics needs. Designing and developing automated reporting solutions and data visualization tools. Implementing robust metrics frameworks to assess and enhance program effectiveness. Collaborating with internal teams to determine key performance indicators and create actionable insights. Identifying data gaps and improving reporting efficiency while managing competing priorities. The ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with systems like Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL. Proficiency in data visualization using tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar. Hands-on experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience with Statistical Analysis tools like R, SAS, or Matlab. Strong SQL skills for extracting data and scripting experience in Python for data processing. Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. Experience with data mining and ETL processes in environments handling large-scale, complex datasets. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will excel in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, adaptable to evolving priorities, and possess a unique ability to transition seamlessly between strategic development and detailed technical execution. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving data-informed decision-making and enhancing operational excellence. You will be part of the AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) team, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring our cloud services remain robust and reliable.
