As a Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate care and enhance the patient experience. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.- Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement individualized patient care plans.- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).- Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality improvement guidelines. Requirements: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.- BLS and PALS certifications (must be current and included with submission).- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience preferred.- Ability to float to other units as needed.- Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Work Environment: - The facility has a comprehensive medical-surgical unit with a specific number of beds dedicated to patient care.- Nurses are expected to wear royal blue scrubs as part of the dress code.- Parking facilities are available for staff.
