As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver quality nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit, adhering to best practices and hospital policies.- Monitor patients' heart health and vital signs, especially during labor.- Provide support in Mother-Baby and postpartum care, including nursery duties for transitioning newborns.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement patient care plans.- Ensure effective communication with patients and families regarding care processes and expectations. Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery; experience in Obstetrics and Mother-Baby/Postpartum care is preferred.- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required at the time of application. EFM certification is preferred.- Skills: Proficient in heart monitoring and nursery care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.- Travel Requirements: Willingness to float between multiple hospital locations.
