Overview
Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking an experienced
Chief Inspector of Signals, Communication & Train Control
in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The salary range is
$160,000 - $175,000 . Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Wayside Signal, Communications, CIS, PTC, and office train control inspections, including supervising inspectors, subcontractors, and consultants. Ensure compliance with FRA / CPUC regulations and SCRRA standards and manuals. Prepare Work Orders for correcting unsafe or non-compliant conditions. Review and discuss corrective actions with management. Present quarterly inspection and work order reports to management and contractors. Pass required written tests, including SMM GCOR and on-track safety qualifications. Spend approximately 50% of time in the field performing inspections and observing tests. Promote Herzog’s culture and maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; AA or BS / BA in electrical, computer science, or related field preferred. Certifications in electronics, railway signals, communications, PTC, CADD, and related areas. Familiarity with FRA & CPUC standards, AREMA standards, and railroad infrastructure inspection. SCRRA GCOR and SMM qualified; Hi-Rail territory qualified on all subdivisions. Strong technical knowledge and communication skills; experience with labor management. Pre-Employment Requirements: Background check, motor vehicle report, valid driver's license, and endorsements. Pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, drug screening, and safety certifications. Physical Requirements: Lift up to 70 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and on uneven surfaces. Climb ladders, push / pull, grasp, and work in confined spaces. Pass color / vision and hearing tests. Safety: Adhere to safety policies and report violations to maintain a safe work environment.
