The Commercial Finance Director will act as a business partner, supporting a solutions leader in establishing the business financially and operationally. You should be a strong individual contributor capable of working on staffing, scope definition, creative pricing strategies, cost management, RFPs, and managing and modeling a shadow P&L. Additionally, you should be skilled in navigating senior leadership conversations and influencing decisions across multiple P&L owners. EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR Preferred Experience Be hands-on but know how to scale a business quickly and implement effective financial and operational workflows. Know how to influence and storytelling to executive leadership and execute on strategic plans. Ability to move and act swiftly while navigating within a larger organization. New Logo Champion the commercial narrative and storytelling in new logo pitches. Develop innovative pricing models with clear messaging. Understand and address client needs through commercial responses. Commercial and Finance Leadership of Integrated Accounts: Understand client relationship terms and develop strategies for growth and profitability (e.g., partner in growth plans like KAP). Lead client negotiations on contracts and service agreements. Support account leads with annual scope negotiations, analysis, and executive presentations, including staffing plans. Lead pricing discussions and remodel commercials to meet client and market needs. Support business reorganization and integration of multiple brands. Collaborate with client leads, markets, and global agencies to ensure contract compliance. Ensure contractual compliance and accurate reporting, including staff utilization and AVB reporting. Develop and maintain ad-hoc reports and financial models. Provide analytical support and conduct ad hoc financial analyses. Track global client profitability and revenue forecasts. Manage pipeline opportunities within CRM systems like Salesforce. Improve reporting processes and develop a 'Center of Excellence' for select initiatives. Client & Internal Relationships: Support the rollout of commercial initiatives across the Americas. Maintain relationships with colleagues across the dentsu network regarding financial and commercial processes. Build and sustain strong client relationships across procurement and finance to foster collaboration and negotiation. Work with Global Operations to interpret and manage scope. Partner with legal to ensure contracts reflect commercial relationships and minimize risks. Coordinate with client teams to keep revenue tracking systems updated. Stay informed of changes in client budgets. Be approachable and solution-oriented, breaking down problems into critical parts. Maintain high ethical standards, confidentiality, and discretion, handling sensitive information responsibly. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED 10-15 years of experience in a client-focused finance role, including support for innovative pricing models. Experience managing a team and performing individually. Understanding of client support and relationship management. Extensive contract negotiation experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow-through skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to craft clear narratives. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management/customer service abilities. Experience in budgeting and forecasting. Experience in an international agency network is desirable but not essential. Experience in a professional marketing services environment is desirable. Understanding of internal controls and ability to identify financial risks in commercial arrangements. The anticipated salary range for this position is ($113,000-$182,850).
