These positions are located at our State Veterans Home located in Oxford, MS. These LPN positions range from MDS Assistant, Inservice Coordinator, Medical Records, and Staffing Coordinator. First-level Nursing position accountable for administering medication and other prescribed treatments, taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. Communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care. May provide transport and/or escort to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary. Mentors and delegates work to CNAs. **This is a non-state service, time-limited position with Mississippi Veteran Affairs. ** What you'll need to be Successful:
Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team. Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires a Certificate from an Approved School of Nursing, Licensure as an LPN and 0-4 years of experience.
