MedStar Health . Position Summary MedStar Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at
Rehab-Hand Therapy MedStar Union Memorial Hospital . The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional competency as a general practitioner in occupational therapy, with the ability to independently utilize varied evaluation and treatment approaches and work effectively within a team. The Occupational Therapist will provide services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. Participation in program planning and protocol development is also expected to help the team meet its goals. Communicate results and involve patients and families in goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient presentation, and healthcare environment. Consult with other healthcare professionals as needed. Recognize and document changes in patient condition requiring plan adjustments. Complete discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately document all patient care activities, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations. Maintain an accurate schedule and demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and empathy to ensure patient access to care. Engage in continuing education for professional growth. Serve as a clinical instructor and assist with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia licensure as required for the location. American Heart Association BLS certification. Minimum Qualifications This position has a hiring range of $55.00 per hour. Additional Details
