Senior Property Manager Property Operations & Management: Oversee the daily operations of multiple affordable housing sites (LIHTC, Section 8, HPD, HDC, HUD, etc.). Ensure all properties meet or exceed standards for cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal. Lead site staff in the implementation of maintenance plans, capital improvements, and preventative maintenance programs. General knowledge of building and construction codes would be a plus. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal affordable housing regulations and guidelines. Monitor lease-ups, recertifications, and file audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with compliance teams, housing agencies (HPD, HDC, HUD), and auditors. Financial Management: Develop and manage annual property budgets and forecasts. Monitor income and expenses to ensure financial goals are met. Review rent rolls, approve invoices, and manage accounts receivable and collections. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor property managers, leasing agents, and maintenance staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure team alignment with company goals and standards. Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Senior Property Manager Minimum 5-7 years
of property management experience, with at least
3 years in affordable housing
(LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HPD/HDC, etc.). Strong knowledge of NYC housing regulations and compliance standards. Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex property portfolios. Experience working with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, MRI). Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or similar affordable housing certifications strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). What's on Offer
