Our client is a general contractor specializing in light industrial construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe builds. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for our light industrial projects in Naperville and surrounding suburbs. Job Description: Manage daily job site operations and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff. Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Monitor project schedules and budgets, proactively resolving issues to avoid delays. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and inspectors to ensure smooth project execution. Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, progress photos, and safety logs. The Successful Applicant: Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Superintendent in light industrial or commercial construction. Proven success managing ground-up and renovation projects in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environments. Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and safety protocols. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project). OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Effective communication skills with field teams, clients, and stakeholders. Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection procedures. Experience with lean construction practices and value engineering is a plus.
