We're seeking a Senior IT Data Modeler (LDA) who is a strong analytical leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. What you'll be doing: Leading the data charge: You'll be the architect behind our data, leading and managing data modeling projects that build integrated solutions for Multnomah County, collaborating with various departments and outside agencies. Crafting data blueprints: You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of data models, from planning and defining requirements to designing, developing, and maintaining both logical and physical data models for our critical decision support and transaction processing systems. Setting the standard: You'll lead the development of metadata standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency, and work closely with business analysts and application developers to make sure everything aligns seamlessly. Optimizing performance: Your expertise will be vital in providing expert design, development, performance tuning, and maintenance for our complex, mission-critical data and analytic systems. Collaborating and mentoring: You'll partner with stakeholders to understand their data needs, develop solutions, and even train others on how to best utilize our data models. Ensuring data integrity: You'll work hand-in-hand with network administrators to ensure the confidentiality, security, scalability, and recoverability of our data and databases, establishing and enforcing technical and procedural standards. Working knowledge of or skill with Snowflake. Advanced knowledge of or skill with Business Intelligence Data Marts, and Data Warehousing, including design and best practices. Advanced experience working with developers to build ETLs for loading data for reporting. Advanced knowledge of or skill with database logging tools (Ex: Idera, RedGate Monitor, Splunk, etc.).
