Senior Accountant - Inventory & Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
Are you a Senior Auditor with experience in public accounting and inventory clients, or an Accountant working in an inventory or manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a Los Angeles-based manufacturer. The role involves standard costing, physical inventory counts, managing excess and obsolete inventory, and conducting variance analysis.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Inventory accounting experience required
- Advanced Excel skills
Key Responsibilities
- Review bank activity and reconcile cash discrepancies
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Handle sales, use, and property tax filings
- Manage month-end closing for inventory
- Conduct perpetual inventory reconciliation and evaluate inventory balances
- Perform variance analysis and prepare financial reports
- Document processes, control activities, and key controls
- Define, create, and track inventory KPIs
- Review and analyze inventory adjustments
- Assess slow-moving and at-risk inventory items and develop mitigation plans
- Manage cycle count and inventory observation processes
