Join our dynamic team as a Platform Infrastructure Specialist, where your expertise will play a crucial role in deploying and maintaining a variety of platforms that support diverse applications. As an on-site role, you will be required to hold a Secret Clearance and be based at our government facility in Annapolis Junction, MD. This opportunity not only offers a chance to work with cutting-edge technology but also to contribute meaningfully to mission-critical operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and enhance system performance; implement corrective actions as needed. Manage application integration using networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls. Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures. Create and implement automation scripts and tools for efficient platform deployment, provisioning, and management. Deploy and manage virtual machines using VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Configure and manage host-based security systems. Support DevOps practices and tools, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with RHEL containers. Utilize advanced monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds. Patch and manage systems using Red Hat Satellite Server. Provide technical hardware support for servers and workstations. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is a plus. Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 years in the relevant field. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift. Strong background in containerization (Docker or Kubernetes), RHEL administration, VMware, Ansible, Terraform, and monitoring tools. Must be a US citizen without dual citizenship. Willingness to reside within a commutable distance and participate in a rotational on-call schedule. Team-oriented, proactive, and capable of independent work to ensure success in mission-critical operations. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TCS202, T4, Band 7 levels is advantageous.
