As a member of design team, the
Social Media Content Designer
will lead the graphic design and editing for a portfolio of GTI cannabis brands’ social media content. They will work in concert with the Social Media Photographer/Videographer who will be focused the capturing of social photo/video content. They will work collaboratively with the brand creative teams, brand marketing teams, and compliance. We’re seeking a creative content expert who lives social media both inside and outside of work. You have a deep understanding of social visual styles of motion graphics & video editing that resonates on various social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube and TikTok. Ideally you also are well-versed in cannabis culture and are open to appearing in GTI content on occasion. Responsibilities
Create visually appealing and engaging graphics that align with brand identities for use across social media channels. Edit and enhance photography and video content for social media, ensuring it is engaging and aligns with platform specifications. Collaborate with the Content Photographer/Videographer to provide art direction in order to streamline post-production design of content effectively. Work closely with the brand marketing team (including social media managers) & brand design leads to develop visual strategies that complement overall brand goals. Partner with external content creators to ensure consistency in branding across all visual outputs. Stay current with design trends, social media best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our content fresh and innovative. Implement creative strategies for incorporating new trends into our visual content. Maintain high standards for quality and accuracy in all design and editing tasks. Ensure that all visual content meets brand and regulatory guidelines, ands resonates with our target audiences. Qualifications
Proven experience as a social content designer, motion graphics expert and video editor, preferably within a lifestyle industry. Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both graphic design and video editing. Proficiency in design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Photoshop, Firefly, Illustrator), CapCut, and emerging AI tools A keen eye for aesthetics and details. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Innovative thinker with a strong understanding of how visual content can enhance brand storytelling. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
