Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, and wrap around services. Who You Are You are a detail-oriented, proactive finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments. What qualifications are required for this position? Experience in accounting, reconciliation, or nonprofit finance. Strong critical thinking and investigative skills. Comfort with financial tools such as QuickBooks and Bill.com. A collaborative spirit and commitment to RPs mission and values. A willingness to grow and take initiative in a supportive team environment. Senior-level experience is preferred, but junior candidates with relevant finance backgrounds are encouraged to apply. What You Will Do The Grants & Financial Operations Associate plays a vital role in supporting RPs financial infrastructure and grant management processes. This hybrid position bridges day-to-day financial operations with grant billing and compliance, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent financial practices. Reporting to the Grant Reimbursement Specialist, this role supports the organizations growth by maintaining clean books, streamlining systems, and enabling real-time financial insights. Operational Responsibilities : Execute accounts payable processes using Bill.com. Assist with credit card reconciliation and payroll support. Maintain accurate financial records and support monthly close processes. Help produce timely financial statements and reports. Strategic Responsibilities : Support invoicing and billing to grants in collaboration with the Grants Reimbursement Specialist. Provide real-time financial data and projections to leadership as needed. Contribute to the development of internal financial systems and tools. Help reduce reliance on external consultants by strengthening internal processes. Compliance and Quality Responsibilities : Ensure timely and accurate grant invoicing and billing. Support compliance with funder requirements and internal controls. Assist in preparing for audits, funder reviews, and financial reporting Maintain documentation and support adherence to financial policies. Financial Responsibilities : Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Grants Reimbursement Specialist to align expenses with grant budgets. Monitor bill payments and ensure timely processing. Support the production of clean, current financial statements within 3045 days of month-end. Assist in tracking restricted and unrestricted funds. Working Conditions This position is eligible for hybrid in person & remote work. Time spent on-site versus remote working will be discussed and agreed upon with your supervisor. You are expected to be availableon-site as necessary given business needs. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds. You will be subject to frequent interruptions and must be able to multitask and handle stress. Travel to the greater Bay Area may be required. Applying The pay scale for the Grants & Financial Operations Associate is $75,000-$80,000 per year (exempt). This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, salaried position. This is a hybrid position (flex work), with some days required in office. Applicants must be located in the greater Bay Area.
