Program Director, Defense Manufacturing Automation
Are you a seasoned federal program manager with a passion for industrial automation and a track record of success in the defense manufacturing sector?
We are seeking a Program Director to lead critical, high-impact programs from contract award to closeout. This is an opportunity for a leader who excels at managing complex integrated operations, driving program performance, and fostering a culture of rigor and compliance with government contracting standards.
This is an on-site, in-office position.
What You’ll Do
Lead Program Lifecycle:
Oversee all program operations for complex DoD contracts, from initial award through closeout, ensuring performance against cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Drive Financial Performance:
Manage program budgeting, EAC development, and monthly forecasting. Partner with leadership to track contract profitability and ensure compliance with DCAA/DCMA audits. Manage Stakeholder Relationships:
Serve as the primary executive interface for U.S. Government customers, including DoD program offices and contracting officers. Direct prime and subcontract relationships to meet technical milestones and data deliverables. Develop Team & Strategy:
Mentor and develop a cross-functional team of program managers and project leads. Support proposal development, risk analysis, and mitigation planning to drive strategic outcomes. Qualifications Minimum
15+ years
of progressive experience in government program execution, with direct oversight of complex DoD contracts. Proven ability to lead cross-functional program teams, including engineering and manufacturing. In-depth knowledge of U.S. Government contracting regulations ( FAR, DFARS, ITAR ). Proficiency with program management systems ( MS Project, ERP tools, SharePoint ). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline. U.S. Citizenship
is required. Ability to obtain or maintain a
U.S. Government Security Clearance . Ability to travel up to
25%
to support program sites and customer engagements. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a relevant field. Experience in DoD or government automation projects. International experience.
