Director Of Plant Operations

Foundations Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Director of Plant Operations to support our facility in Doylestown, PA. Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents and young adults. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to outpatient and academic services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of Plant Operations is responsible for coordinating and managing hospital programs which ensure the safe and reliable operations of the physical plant, of the facility. The DOP provides services that support the acute care and residential environment of care, and ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Local, regulations, including those applicable to, and in concert with The Joint Commission. Additional duties and responsibilities include: Supervises and directs the Plant Operations by developing preventative maintenance programs and ensures physical plant facility are environmentally and physically safe. Manages daily and weekly work order system to ensure maximum customer service; manages outside contracts which are inter-related with total plant operations. Oversees and manages departmental budget

monthly operation issues and capital expense processes; trains plant operations staff in the safe operation of the facility. Ensures all fire drills and safety checks are conducted, as required. Monitors the sanitation and cleanliness of facility to ensure compliance with all applicable and accrediting standards, licensure requests, and infection control guidelines. Manages the following areas of the hospital: plant operations, buildings and grounds, safety, nutrition services and environmental services. Qualifications: Significant experience overseeing and managing facility operations, including engineering, HVAC systems, building construction, and maintenance; preferably in a hospital environment. Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure based operations, specifically, as it relates to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, building construction, and fire safety. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of contract management, bidding, project management, and contract negotiations. Must be able to handle multiple competing tasks, with minimum supervision. Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise the work of multiple staff members, and prioritize duties and responsibilities, including performance management. Demonstrated knowledge of the Joint Commission accreditation standards applicable to building operations and environmental services. Demonstrated ability to train plant operations staff in the safe operations of facility tools, equipment, machines, and systems.
