AMoA Executive Director Purpose

- AMoA seeks a strong, experienced marketing professional to work collaboratively with museum staff to promote museum exhibitions, programming, and rental of the facility in order to engage the community through all possible media. The Assistant Director of Marketing will also coordinate with the LSUA Division of Strategic Communications to develop and execute targeted communication efforts to promote arts and culture on campus and to support museum awareness among internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities: Manage AMoA's social media strategy and posting, including Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms, ensuring content is engaging, visually appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines Facilitate weekly email marketing to membership and donors Write press releases and articles in collaboration with museum staff for dissemination to news outlets and magazines Take and edit pictures and video Produce flyers/posters/printed mailers/ads working with contract designers and LSUA Strat Comms to assure branding compliance as needed Work with contract designers regarding website corrections, updates, improvements, and content Work with the Executive Director and relevant LSUA faculty and staff to plan and implement on-campus communication related to arts programming at the museum as well as arts and cultural programming on campus Market and schedule facility rentals of museum spaces to the public. Coordinate with the Director of Operations & Outreach to assure space availability, set up, etc. Maintain awareness of best practices in the field as well as important trends Monitor the effectiveness of museum communications through data analysis Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Qualifications: The ability to meet deadlines, organize, and balance short and long-term projects while prioritizing daily tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience and working knowledge in developing effective social media and email marketing strategies Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and the ability to proofread effectively Experience with Microsoft Office platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other relevant programs Strong aptitude for learning new software programs, applications, and tools to meet organizational needs Ability to work as a team Knowledge of and passion for the arts is a plus This position is full-time, 40 hours per week flexing to include some evenings or weekend hours for special events.
